Why We Exist
The motivation for this site is simple in concept and grandiose in belief. We want to revolutionize the financial advisory business, we want to bring sound financial advice to anyone and everyone regardless of income or investment knowledge, and we want to do it for free. I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone ask me "I finally have $10k saved up, what should I do with it?", or "I have a good income but a large mortgage, how can I plan for retirement?". With millions in assets you have limitless options - some of which are no doubt terrible - but there is a level of risk you can afford.
Most folks can't, and that means the motivation for sound financial advice is even more important. Financial advisors are fundamentally about helping themselves, and if you're lucky they'll help you along the way. But if you don't have enough assets they aren't going to want to deal with you. It's the same reason you can't find a good real estate agent to help you find a cheap place to rent. There's no money in it for them, so there's no service to you.
I believe we can do better. I believe the investment knowledge myself and my team have acquired can greatly benefit anyone regardless of income, networth or even level of debt, because we apply principals of solid investment advice into a methodical process to create a financial plan that's right for you. And we do it for free. Whether you choose to take our advice, and whether or not you decide to invest in one of the online discount brokerages we recommend is entirely up to you. Our services will continue to be free and we will continue to improve the quality of the advice we offer.
Simply Advised is dedicated to individual investor empowerment. We have created a site that allows users across all spectrums of the investing universe to learn how to properly allocate the assets they have accumulated and create a financial plan that works for them. We are an energetic firm and continually looking to improve our products to make our users take full control of their personal investing profile and build their own portfolio.
We are always open to hearing feedback from those that use are site - please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us regarding a question or comment!
Sincerely,
Steve
